Samsung Rugby Smart Arrives to AT&T

Who says rugged smartphones have to be bulky? Definitely not Samsung. The Korean smartphone manufacturer introduces a new rugged smartphone, the Rugby Smart.
Like many rugged handsets, expect the Samsung Rugby Smart to be waterproof (submersible up to 30 minutes in one meter of water) and built to meet military-specified 810F standards. You can be sure that this device can tolerate the roughest, the toughest, and the harshest of elements.
The Rubgy Smart is armed with Android 2.3, a 3.7-inch WVGA Super AMOLED touch screen, 4GB of internal storage, and 1650mAh battery. It has a 1.3-megapixel camera at the front for video chat, as well as a 5-megapixel rear-facing autofocus camera with LED flash and 720p video capture. As for its physical specs, it is registered at 12.19mm thickness and weighs 4.2 ounces.
The Samsung Rugby Smart will hit AT&T stores beginning March 4.

Not so many devices are avaliable that can conveniently digitize sketchs or writng on paper in real time the most that current devices can do is scan and digitize finished product and not before. wacome has introduced a devices that can digitize anything you write in any paper or notepad with the Wacom inkling sketchped devices.

the wacom inkling allows users to digitize sketches and notes written  directly on paper or notepad . It is composed of a digital pen and a receiver that is clipped into any paper or notepad. The digital pen can be used to write or sketch and has a sensor that is sensitive to hand movements as its sketches or writes. The receiver then stores the data in digitized form which can easily be transferred to a PC via a USB port. Files can be stored either in JPG, BMP, TIFF, PNG, SVG, and PDF formats. The Wacom Inkling Sketchpad Device is currently available in the Japanese market for 7,980 Japanese Yen. That is around US$105.

while there are  quite a lot of tablets now avaliable in the market, only quite a few are designed for writing. Well, in an effort to build a paperless society, writing tablets would eventually become more and more common. The Sony ESSP 2000 UPS is a heavy duty emergency power supply aimed for those that need standby emergency power. It comes with an energy storage module made up of lithium ion iron phosphate batteries. It can store up to 2.4kWh of power for emergency backup power. It comes with six outlets with a 100 volt output each. It is quick charging via 100 volt outlet, which can charge up to 95 percent in as little as 2 hours. The Sony ESSP 2000 UPS is expected to come out sometime in September. It is estimated to cost around 2 million Japanese Yen or around US$25,890.

Soundproofing a Room by Window Blinds? Sounds Possible!

there are so many ways to keep korporate secret from leaking. we can shared documents to smithereens, forward digital files in encrypted form, and even soundproofing the conference rooms. The third way would be hard to implement because soundproofing a whole room could cost a lot of time and money.
But Japanese company Tokyo Blind has introduced a technology that can absord sound by up to 60% using a common material and can be installed easily. Feltone, as its name suggests, is name of felt and looks like ordinary blinds that can be put up on windows or walls. The manufacturer says Felton blinds can be installed in just about two hours and costs up to 90% less than traditional soundproof panels.
The blinds work by absorbing sound, but there has to be distance of 50 to 200 millimeters between the blind slats and the wall. They say the layer of air contributes to the sound absorption process.
Although Feltone is less expensive than current soundproofing materials, it still does not come cheap. A 2m x 2m blind costs $1,500. Feltone is currently only available in Japan, targetting companies, as well as home theater owners and families with children.

The camera also has a 4.5 inch S-LCD touch screen and is also able to record and playback video in 1080p HD quality. Currently, the HTC Velocity 4G is available exclusively in Australia.  It is similar to HTC Vivid in the US which goes for around US$199 at AT&T.
