Who says rugged smartphones have to be bulky? Definitely not Samsung. The Korean smartphone manufacturer introduces a new rugged smartphone, the Rugby Smart.
Like many rugged handsets, expect the Samsung Rugby Smart to be waterproof (submersible up to 30 minutes in one meter of water) and built to meet military-specified 810F standards. You can be sure that this device can tolerate the roughest, the toughest, and the harshest of elements.
The Rubgy Smart is armed with Android 2.3, a 3.7-inch WVGA Super AMOLED touch screen, 4GB of internal storage, and 1650mAh battery. It has a 1.3-megapixel camera at the front for video chat, as well as a 5-megapixel rear-facing autofocus camera with LED flash and 720p video capture. As for its physical specs, it is registered at 12.19mm thickness and weighs 4.2 ounces.
The Samsung Rugby Smart will hit AT&T stores beginning March 4.
